The beginning stages of the work
The Challenge
The property sits directly along the banks of the Snake River in Marsing, Idaho. The sloped, riverside terrain created serious erosion risk and left the homeowners with no functional outdoor living space. Any solution had to address both the structural challenges of the site and match the natural beauty of the surroundings.
What Was Built
Fine Grade engineered a stamped concrete patio paired with a robust retaining wall that anchors the slope and doubles as outdoor living infrastructure. The concrete pattern was carefully selected to echo natural stone, blending seamlessly with the riparian environment. The retaining wall incorporates built-in seating and raised garden beds — turning a structural necessity into a showpiece feature.
